  • New Building Work Days

    February -September
    This is an exciting season of transition for The River family. We are now in the construction process for our new building. Many volunteers are needed. We have weekday and weekend opportunities for everyone to lend a hand. Please click the link below to volunteer.

  • Friendship Soup Kitchen

    February 8th, 3:00-6:00pm
    Join us on the second Friday of each month as we help provide a dinner meal at the Friendship Soup Kitchen. We prepare the meal in their kitchen, serve the meal and share fellowship with tone another.  This ministry is a tangible way we can share the blessings and love of God to those who come for a healthy meal. Contact the church or Adrienne Gorka if you would like to come!

  • Women's Breakfast

    February 9th, 9:00-11:00AM

    Ladies, come join us in the lower sanctuary for our monthly Women of Life breakfast, sharing the word and great fellowship. 

  • Christian Character

    March 3rd, 8:30-9:30AM

    A new class on developing christian character will be offered Sunday mornings in the lower sanctuary from 8:30-9:30am. This course is from Global Ministries Bible Institute. Cost for the class is $30 to cover cost of materials. Registration is required to attend this class.

  • Men's Breakfast

    March 2nd, 9:00-11:00AM

    Come gather together with the men at The River for fellowship, encouragement and a hearty breakfast. We gather every month on the first Saturday of the month at the Hometown Buffet in Manchester. This a great opportunity to bring a friend or relative. If you have any questions please contact Rick Martin.

  • Sex Trafficking Awareness Presentation

    March 21, 6:30-8:00pm @ Tolland Middle School Auditorium.
    Sex trafficking is happening everywhere, Our Nation. Our State. Our Towns and our homes. This issue cannot remain hidden any longer. Sadly, too many young men and women are being trafficked every day. Some in our own homes. This presentation will inform and educate the community on how we can prevent and stop these horrific crimes from destroying any more lives. 


    Presenters include: Human Anti-Trafficking Response Team , FBI Internet Safety Agent, Connecticut Department of Children & Families , The Village, The Underground and a Trafficked Survivor from Connecticut.

    Please consider donating items to the Tolland Food Pantry. Items needed: snacks of all kinds (fruit roll-ups, crackers, Goldfish, etc), mustard, ketchup and juices. Summer means a greater need for items for children. Any contribution is greatly appreciated.
