Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

Every year in January, during our three weeks of prayer & fasting, the River encourages our community to search and join a new or existing community group.
Available year round, it’s always a good time to get connected with one of our groups!
At the River we believe the body of Christ should continually and eagerly gather together for mutal edification, spiritual growth, and to serve as ministers of the Gospel to our local community.
We encourage all out attenders to be part of a community group, class, or series. By doing life together our faith is strengthened, hearts are encouraged, and we get a chance to develop the meaningful relationships we all long for.
The River’s community of volunteer leaders host groups for men & women individually, the 3:6Teen group, married couples, home school moms, & specialty groups targeting niche interests like the Chosen series, deliverance, prayer, & even homesteading!
Group sizes ebb & flow based on interests and time of year. An ideal small group size is typically a core 6-12 participants with fluxuating numbers in part due to participants “trying it out”. Also, summer time can lend to smaller group interest with vacations. Any time is a great time to get involved in a group but we have found that the Fall & Winter are more flexible with availability & interest.
Small Groups tend to meet either weekly or bi-weekly on different days and times. Most groups meet year round with built in breaks throughout the year based on participation.
Small Groups meet regularly, in homes, coffee shops, parks and anywhere in-between to study God’s word and grow together in faith. Primarily through open discussion, light conversation, and bible study often related to the weekly sermon. Our small group participants develop deeper relationships with one another in community.
It is our desire that all our volunteer leaders feel supported and encouraged as they steward their groups no matter the size or location!
Our staff is on hand to answer questions, provide content, coaching, and quarterly extended leadership briefings to stay connected with our valuable army of volunteer leaders!
