Petra Jordan Add-On
November 8 - 10
A unique opportunity to extend your trip to Israel with a visit to Jordan, including Petra, Wadi Rum, the Red Sea, and Amman. Read on to learn more about the itinerary, accommodations, and cost.
day one
Jordan
After the Israel Farewell Dinner, we will return to Jerusalem for the night. The following morning, we will cross the border into Jordan and drive to Petra for an overnight. Along the way we will visit:
- The ancient city of Madaba, most famous for its 6th century byzantine mosaic of the Holy Land. It is the oldest preserved map of the holy land. We’ll have lunch and some time for shopping.
- Mount Nebo. Enjoy a peaceful and spectacular view of the Jordan valley, the Dead Sea and the Judean hills from 2,300 ft above sea level. This is the spot where the Lord took Moses and let him view the promised land before his death.
day two
Petra &
Wadi Rum
PETRA
We visit the famous ancient city of Petra in the Siq Canyon. Explore the ‘Silica Quarries’, the Jinn Blocks and Petra’s most renowned monument, The Treasury (Khazneh). You can ride an Arabian horse or walk yourself down the canyon road. Petra is a truly unforgettable experience!
WADI RUM
After lunch we visit the village of Rum inside the stunning and unique Wadi Rum nature reserve (where the movie Martian was filmed). We board 4X4 jeeps and journey into the spectacular sandstone area of Wadi Rum for an off-road adventure into unique landscape and exploring rarely travelled ancient merchant routes. Stop at a bedouin tent for tea and shopping.
We then head to our Aqaba resort on the Red Sea for dinner and overnight.
day three
Red Sea
RED SEA
Relax, snorkel and enjoy a well deserved rest on the Red Sea. After lunch we will make the journey to Amman, with a short city tour and a sumptuous Jordanian Farewell Dinner.
